The Food Technology Program was established in Yaşar University / Vocational School. Education in the program continues within the Vocational School within the campus of Yaşar University. Food Technology Program; is a four-semester Vocational School program that provides training in formal education aimed at technical staff training equipped with theoretical and practical knowledge to meet the need for intermediate staff in food production facilities.
Graduates who have completed the associate degree program can work as food technicians in food industry related public and private sector organizations or they may be responsible managers in food enterprises. Some of the organizations where they can take part are:
- Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry,
- Ministry of Rural Affairs,
- Laboratory of Hygiene,
- Municipalities,
- Provincial Health Directorates,
- Food and Drink Quality Control Centers
- Environmental Protection Laboratories and Pharmaceutical Enterprises.
In addition, graduates of Food Technology Program can pass to the undergraduate programs of Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Engineering, Plant Protection, Plant Production and Technologies, Food Technology, Chemistry, Agricultural Biotechnology if they are successful in DGS exam.
